He was predeceased by : his parents, Volga Thigpen (Wanjura) and S. Claud Thigpen; his brother Claud Eugene Thigpen; and his grandson Alec Heath Thigpen. He is survived by : his wife Peggy McLaren Thigpen of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Anthony (Brittany) and Nicolai; his great grandchild Baine; and his niece Jerlyn Mardis.
