It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph A. Capps of Jacksonville, Texas, who passed away on February 6, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Capps and Massie Capps (Corley); and his siblings, David, Paul Jr., Priscilla and John.
He is survived by: his wife Beth Capps (Price); his daughters, Diane Parsons (Michael) of Jacksonville and Donna Jane Ward (Rex) of Jacksonville; his sister Mary Catherine Collins of South Carolina; and his grandchildren, Joseph Glenn Pate of Rusk, Nikki Ray (Jason) of Jacksonville and John Parsons of Jacksonville. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
