He was predeceased by: his parents, John Holifield and Emily Holifield; his wife Jessie Holifield; and his siblings, Maurice Holifield (Pearl), Haurice Holifield (AvaLee), Melvin Holifield, Alson Holifield, Johnie Holifield, Marezella Landrum (Sharp) and Bertha Landrum (El).
He is survived by: his children, Otis Holifield (Debbie), Darrell Holifield (Kathy) and Vickie Ward (J. L.); his close friend Linda Perkins; and his sister-in-law Ann Holifield. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
