He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Finley Gober and Evelyn Ethredge Gober Hicks; his stepfather Brooks Hicks; his brothers, Leon, Richard and Tim Gober; his siblings-in-law, Francis, Leann Gober and David Ruff; his siblings' children, Kasey Deerdoff and Michael Cochran; and his great-nephew Alex Moravits.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Gober; his daughters, Tammy Fitzner (Dean) and Julie Myers (Curtis); his grandchildren, Parker, Maci, Connor Fitzner, Brook, Cameron, Kaleb, Alayna, Conleigh and Conway Myers; his great grandchildren, Stella Nichols, Stetson Myers and Waylon Unbehagen; his siblings, Christina Bonnette (Donn), Polly Rackley (Ray), Rebecca Matthis (John) and Danny Gober (Wanda); and his siblings-in-law, Oland Ruff (Mitzi) and Jerry Gober. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at 215 Middleton St, Bacliff, TX 77518.
