He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Sims and Jackie Sims (Smith); his wife Ginger Sims; and his brother Michael Sims. He is survived by: his son Melvin Sims (Georgelise); his sister Rachel Lummus of San Antonio; his grandchildren, Jackie, Jayden, Katelynn, Mallory, Holden, George and Peppa; and his great grandchildren, Malik and Callista.
