He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Martin and Joyce Martin; and his siblings, Ronnie Martin, Melinda Martin and Jolene Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Jodie Martin; his children, David Martin, Jr. and Cherie Martin; his grandchildren, Kevin Martin and Gracie Erwin (Caleb); his great grandchildren, Oaklynn and Colton Erwin; his sisters, Bonita Williamson and Patricia Boudreaux (Tommy); his brothers-in-law, Frozie Trahan (Shirley) and Lynn Trahan (Dena); and his friend East of Texas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
