We bid farewell to Iris Herbst of Jasper, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 25, 2025 at the age of 88. Iris touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillie Ruth Rainey Pool and Charles Cade Pool; her husband Tom; and her son Cade. She is survived by: her close friends, Barbara, John Seale, Carolyn, Jimmy Perkins, Sarah Ann, Herman Hancock, Suzanne, Joe Bob Golden and Jasper Suzanne; her daughter Iris; her caregiver Geneva; her daughter Kim Steinhagen (Roy) of Beaumont; her granddaughters, Anna, Emily Steinhagen of Dallas and New Orleans; her brother John Pool (Janet) of Conroe; and her sibling's children, Kendall Ernst (Carter) of Conroe, Charles Christopher Pool of Conroe, Ray, John Herbst (Suzanne) of Austin, Randy Herbst of Jasper and Rusty Herbst of Hudson.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church (740 Verna St, Jasper, TX 75951). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
