He was predeceased by: his parents, Dick Gary and Sybil Gary; his sister Mary Lou Hartman; his son Raymond E. Gary; and his grandchildren, Regena Harvey and Rachel Harvey.
He is survived by: his wife Doylene Gary of Jasper, Texas; his son Larry Kenneth Gary (Debbie) of Jasper, Texas; his sister Debbie Ann Collins (Charles) of Jasper, Texas; and his grandchildren, Kristi Smith (Billy), Lauri McGee, Marci White (Matt) and Earl Gary (Robin). He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
