With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maxine Parsons of Jasper, Texas, born in Hemphill, Texas, who passed away on October 8, 2022 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Burton Monroe Lakey and Benena McGown Lakey; and her siblings, Robert Lakey, Otis "Rudolph" Lakey, Prentiss Lakey and Francis Morgan.
She is survived by: her husband James Parsons of Jasper, Texas; her children, David Cain of La Porte, Billy Cain (Tammy) of La Porte, Texas, Melissa Rutledge (Joe) of Bandera and Heather Carroll (Chris) of Jasper, Texas; and her siblings, Jimmy Lakey of Hemphill, Paul Lakey (Brenda) of Apple Springs, Drew Lakey of Burkeville and Ruby DuPont of Tyler, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
