She was predeceased by: her parents, John Elton Covington and Geraldine Samford Covington; her brother Robert John Covington; and her husband Billy Jarrell Shofner. She is survived by: her sons, Billy Jarrell Shofner, Jr. (Wanda) of Jasper, Texas and Thomas Glynn Shofner (Penny) of Jasper, Texas; her sister-in-law Marie Covington of Center, Texas; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Shepherd (Paul), Bobby Shofner (Savannah), Megan Yeates (Brooks) and Brandy Hughes (Jim Ed); and her great grandchildren, Ava Shofner, Nathan Shofner, Heath Shepherd, Rheign Yeates, James Hughes, IV and Josie Hughes.
