We announce the death of Robert Byrd of Jefferson, Texas, who passed away on August 10, 2026, at the age of 80. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Robert will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Robert will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Robert’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Byrd and Dorothy Hill Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Ginger Byrd; and his children, Steve Byrd (Kelley), Tommy Byrd and Jennifer Reed (Frank). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Masonic Charities or Shriners Children's Hospitals.
