He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Leard Hamilton and Pairlee Cleo Taylor Hamilton; his wife Wanda Gray Hamilton; his son-in-law Ken Headrick; his brother Spencer Hamilton; his half-brother Curtis Hamilton; his siblings-in-law, Tommy Lilly, Daniel Baker, Frances Crocker (Elvin) and Era Lou Gray; and his nephew Scooter Gray.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Headrick Hamilton (Lance) of Longstreet, Louisiana and Jimmy Hamilton (Tammy) of Joaquin, Texas; his grandchildren, Tara Leigh Headrick of Longstreet, Kyle Hamilton Headrick (Katelyn) of DeBerry, Cody Hamilton (Cassidy) of Joaquin, Colby Hamilton and Alexis Byrd of Joaquin, Texas; his great grandchildren, Hallie Headrick, Hadley Hamilton, Lyndie Headrick, Heston Headrick and Jace Hamilton; his sisters, Tillie Lilly of Joaquin and Fay Baker of Tyler, Texas; and his siblings-in-law, Tommy Gray (Jaunell) of Joaquin, Texas and Doshia Hamilton of Joaquin, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Watson & Sons Funeral Home (1554 TX-7, Center, TX 75935). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Watson & Sons Chapel (1554 TX-7, Center, TX 75935). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at the Lone Cedar Missionary Baptist Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lone Cedar Cemetery Fund or Joaquin Masonic Lodge No. 856 Scholarship Fund.
