He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Collake Sr. and Sarah F. Collake; his sisters, Mildred Clay, Betty Collake and Juanita C. Oliver; and his brother-in-law James T. Oliver.
He is survived by: his significant other Joaquin Romero Jr.; his sisters, Alice Collins, Josephine Frost and Faye Kelley; and his family, Kami K. Smith, Niles Kelley, Adolfo Granados, Jessica G. Hernandez and Anexa Rodriguez. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
