He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernhard Walter and Rosie Wagner (Lubke); his wife Irene Light; his daughter Fonda; his nephew Lance Medford; and his brother-in-law Lynn Garrett.
He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Nixon; his grandchildren, Matt, Sonnye Morris and Jessie Nixon; his great grandchildren, Bryton Matthew, Reid Wagner and Lilly Mae Morris; and his siblings, Laverne Garrett and Wayne Wagner (Donna).
