She is survived by: her son Grant; her daughter-in-law Linda Perry; her daughter Susan; her son-in-law John Cates; her grandchildren, Catherine Cunningham (Evan) and John Cates, Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Aurora and Celeste Cunningham. She is also survived by her family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to either Sugar Land Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Dallas, or any local no-kill animal shelter, reflecting Bette's love for her community and her compassion for all living beings.
