He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herman Mathias and Genevieve Ritter; his wife Mary Carmen Ritter of Katy, TX; his children, Elisabeth Hardy (Chris) of Beaverton, OR, Barbara Theroux (Paul) of Long Beach, CA and William Ritter (Lori) of Salem, OR; his stepsons, William Sewell (Merry) of Waller, TX, Brian Sewell of Helena, MT, Brad Sewell (Susan) of Anchorage, AK and Jesse "Bart" Sewell (Robin) of Hobe Sound, FL; his sister Patricia Hill (Jim); and his sons, Mathias Ritter and Michael Ritter. He was also cherished by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
