He is survived by: his wife Gayle Spence; his daughter Monika Leigh Warren (James Patrick Warren); his granddaughter Evelyn; his son Erik James Spence (Susanna Spence); his grandchildren, Chloe and Evan; his great grandchild Lauren Wood (Conor Izzett); his granddaughter Fiona; his siblings, John Spence and Sue Courtney (Ron Courtney); and his mother-in-law Lois Demel.
