We announce the death of Matthew Watty of Katy, Texas, who passed away on October 18, 2026, at the age of 26. Matthew will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ernest and Mary Elise Pettigrew. He is survived by: his parents, Ronald Watty and Tyra Pettigrew Watty; his siblings, Angelica, Ron Jr., Isaac and Karar; his grandparents, James and Valentine Watty; his aunts and uncles, Petrolina (Michael), Elina (Charles), Immaculata, Jeff (Anna), Elvis (Agnes), Reginald (Simone) and Pascal (Geanine); his godparents, Rory and Stephanie Davis; and his godsiblings, Noah and Naya. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the New Life Church (10800 Hammerly Blvd, Houston, TX 77043).
