He was predeceased by : his parents, James Schmidt (Lou Schmidt) and Sophia Lou; his grandparents, Theodore, Dorothy Schmidt, Trap and Ada Briscoe; his father-in-law Rafael Sanchez; his aunts, Trada and Cynthia Briscoe; and his uncle Joe Briscoe.

He is survived by : his daughters, Hannah and Caroline of Katy, Texas.; his sister Alicia Tucker (Mark) of England; his aunt Carol Richardville (Chip); his uncle Bill Briscoe of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his mother-in-law Abigail Sanchez; and his siblings-in-law, Ana Brown (Scott), Martha House (Paul) and Ralph Sanchez (Trisha). He is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
