He is survived by: his wife Monica; his children, Jeff (Lori Schmidt), Paul (Rebecca Ursta), Lisa (Thomas Niederberger) and Kevin (Stacey Kimmel); his grandchildren, Michelle, Tony, Heather, Matthew, Jordon of Vanessa, KJ and Kaia; his brother Mike Schmidt; and his sisters-in-law, Elaine Wheeler and Eileen Mack (Mark). He is also survived by family grew to include eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
