It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wayne Curby Templeton of Katy, Texas, who passed away on December 18, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Templeton and Goldie Templeton Warren; his brother Larry Templeton; his stepfather Higgins Warren; and his in-laws, Mike and Louise Hughes.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia Hughes Templeton; his siblings-in-law, Patricia Phillips of Marshall, Missouri and Michael Hughes (Karen) of Warrensburg, Missouri.; his children, Curby Templeton (Kimberly) of Bradyville, Tennessee, Lee Ann Wilson (Andy Schuck) of Montgomery, Alabama and Charlie Templeton of Woodbury, Tennessee.; his stepsons, Brian Swearngin (Tiffani) of Camdenton and Brad Swearngin of Kansas City; and his grandchildren, Mary, CJ, Jennifer, Fred and Corey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Wayne's honor to the American Cancer Society.
