He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lathan and Myrtle Lathan (Sheen); and his siblings, Bernard, Jerome and Diane.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Garretson Lathan; his son James Lathan; his granddaughters, Sadie Catherine Lathan and Heidi Alexandra Lathan; and his siblings, Majorie Campany and James Lathan.
