It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Taylor Wimpee of Kaufman, Texas, born in Kemp, Texas, who passed away on June 17, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Dave O. Wimpee and Bessie M Wimpee of Kaufman; his wife Barbara; his daughters, Melissa Lewis (James Wylie) and Cyndy Wimpee of Pantego; his grandchildren, Logan Lewis (Hunter) of Mansfield and Brooklyn Wimpee of Pantego; his sister Wanda Thompson of Arlington; and his nephews, Shaw Thompson (Allyson) of Arlington and Taylor Thompson (Jocelyn). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
