He was predeceased by: his parents, Florene Mize and Lonnie Mize. He is survived by: his siblings, Lonnie Mize, Jimmy Mize, Hazel Sumner and Beverly Schubert; his wife Carolyn; his daughters, Karen Pickens, Fonda Fulfaro and Andrea Mize; his grandchildren, Karl Pickens, Stevie Chartrand, Tristan Fulfaro and Aspen Fulfaro; and his great grandchildren, Eliana Pickens, Vivian Pickens, Oliver Chartrand and Theodore Chartrand.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ashworth Funeral Home (2217 S Washington St, Kaufman, TX 75142). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM at the Kaufman Cemetery (901 N Dallas St, Kaufman, TX 75142).
