She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Hester and Hattie Hester (Melvin); and her great great grandchild Aaron Allen. She is survived by: her brother Kenneth Hester; her son-in-law Don Allen; her grandson David Hamby; her children, Barbara Allen, Stephen McMahon (Sherry) and Janet Shindoll (Ron); her grandchildren, Larry Hamby, Julie Shindoll, Kathryn Shindoll, Laura Decker (Casey), Brandon McMahon (Brittaney), Zachary McMahon (Jaeeun), Micah McMahon (Nicole), Brad Allen (Lee) and Lark Needham; her great grandchildren, Shanell Reed (Russell), Thomas McMahon, Joseph McMahon, Dominic McMahon, Kaden McMahon, Addison McMahon, Caroline McMahon, Michael Earnest, Jr., Alexander Earnest, Mary Chola, Joseph Kaumba, Brodie Decker, Aliyah Decker, Stormie Rebish, Raven Rebish, Rider Needham and Remington Allen (Melody); her great great grandchildren, Preston Reed, Peyton Reed, Lainey Reed, Miracle Chola, Kathryn Kaumba, Grace Allen and Nathan Allen; and her siblings, Dorothy Cain (Bob), Sammie Keith and Betty Burden (Jim). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and special friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ashworth Funeral Home (2217 S Washington St, Kaufman, TX 75142). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Assembly of God Church of Kaufman (3401 S Houston St, Kaufman, TX 75142). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Kaufman Cemetery (901 N Dallas St, Kaufman, TX 75142).
