He was predeceased by: his parents, William Huckaby and Gladys Huckaby; and his sisters, Patricia King and Priscilla Kirby. He is survived by: his children, Shara Akins (Christian) of Odessa, Texas and Clay Huckaby of Plano, Texas; his grandsons, Clayton Huckaby of Plano, TX and Hunter Wynne (Brianne) of Odessa, TX; his great grandchildren, Ava Huckaby, Cali Huckaby and Titus Wynne; his niece Shannon Denton (Craig) of Frisco, Texas; and his nephews, Doug Roberts (Amy) of Plano, Ty King (Debbie) of Enchanted Oaks, Curt Roberts of Tool and Chad King (Kim) of Trinidad, Texas. He is also survived by numerous great-nephews, great-nieces, extended family members, and dear friends.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Parker - Ashworth Funeral Home (2217 S Washington St, Kaufman, TX 75142).
