He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Melton and Hazel Melton; and his children, Terry Kuykendall, Harold Dean Kuykendall and Debbey Kuykendall.
He is survived by: his wife Crystal Pauline Melton of Keene, TX; his children, Cary, Jeffrey, Tammey and Charles; and his sister Jean (Victor). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
