He was predeceased by: his parents, C. E. Watkins and Martha Watkins; his former wife Peggy Duncan; the mothers of children, Kim and Dee; his wife Glen Richburg Bromley; and his stepchildren, Bill and Elizabeth.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kim and Dee; and his stepson Ed. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
