He is survived by: his father Joseph Mays (Teresa) of Highland, California; his wife Melissa (Ulmen); his son Alan of Kempner; his stepdaughter Amanda (Andy Gappa); his grandson Tracyn of Madelia, Minnesota; his mother-in-law Carmen Ulmen of Madelia, Minnesota; his mother Almanita Grier (Jackson); his siblings, Ursula of Conyers, Georgia, Rashaad Grier of San Bernardino and Byron Mays of Mesa, Arizona.; and his siblings-in-law, Michael and Jodi Ulmen of Madelia, Minnesota..
