He was predeceased by : his parents, Lassiter Baskett and Mary Smith Oliver; his wife Alma Oliver; his daughter Sandra Williams; his siblings, Barbara McFail, Mary Frances Holmes, Elnora Mayo, Shirley Williams, Mary Jane Brame, Laura Galloway, Marie Baskett Blackwell, Selma Moore, Thelma Smith, Samuel, Clement, Harry Lee and Junious Oliver; and his close friend Sarah Satterfield.
He is survived by : his daughters, Iona Robinson of Virginia, Danielle Oliver of Baltimore and Delise Satterfield Bailey (David) of Kempner, TX; his brother Lassiter "Bill" Baskett of Maryland; and his grandchildren, Raven, Omarr Dickens of Virginia, Terry Bryant, Samuel, Brian Williams of Maryland, Andrea Sheow, Olivia, David and Erica Bailey of Texas. He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
