He is survived by: his wife Ofelia Garcia Rodriguez of Kenedy; his children, Janie Rosales Gutierrez (Richard, Jr.) of Floresville, Jacob Lee Garcia, Sr. (Patricia) of Floresville, Deciderio "David" Rodriguez, Jr. (Kelsea) of Kenedy and Veronica Ann Rodriguez (Isaac) of Kenedy; his siblings, Pauline Rodriguez of San Juan, Norma Rodriguez of Kenedy, Nancey Rodriguez of Victoria, Sylvia Martinez of Kenedy, Stella Rodriguez of Victoria, Sara Rodriguez of Kenedy, Elisa Rosales of Victoria, Sandra Rodriguez of Victoria, Guadalupe Rodriguez of Victoria, Gilbert Rodriguez of Victoria, Jesse Rodriguez of Victoria and Robert Rodriguez of San Diego, CA; his granddaughters, Lisa Farias and Cynthia Molina of Kenedy; and his close friend Leo Monsivais of Kenedy.

A prayer was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
