We announce the death of Sandra Sue (Johnson) Stanton (Kenedy, Texas), who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 81. Sandra will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Johnson and Alice Johnson; her brother Larry; and her husband D. E. Stanton. She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Portwood and Alicia Wieding (Ronnie); her grandchildren, Cameron Portwood (Cassidy), Kiley Harris (Noah), Chase Portwood, Ryland Wieding, Claire Portwood and Allie Wieding; and her great grandchildren, Casen Portwood and Carsyn Portwood.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Eckols Funeral Home (420 W Live Oak St, Kenedy, TX 78119). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pawnee Methodist Church.
