As Birma departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Birma. Though Birma may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mayfield and Martha Mayfield; her husband Joseph Mares; her son Ernest Thomas Jr.; and her son-in-law Charlie Warn.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Sue Warn, Diana Kay Patrick and Lola Darlene Mullins. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren, along with countless nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park (500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, Kennedale, TX 76060). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
