He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Chapman and Zada "Drum" Chapman; and his brother Durwood Chapman. He is survived by: his daughters, Diana Hethcoat of Sweetwater, TX. and Tina Milwee of Odessa, TX.; the mother of his children Jeanette Chapman of Kermit, TX.; his grandchildren, Miranda Milwee, Stephanie Norred (Jacob Rodriguez), Christine Heady (Ricky), Cody Hethcoat (Dianne) and Tracy Walker; his great grandchildren, Kambri Hethcoat, Aaron Norred (Amanda), Lindsey Norred, Tatum Heady and Hunter Heady; and his great great grandchild Dolly Norred.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kermit Funeral Home (220 S Cedar St, Kermit, TX 79745). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Kermit Cemetery.
