He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Hassell and Allene Hassell; and his grandparents, Herbie, Beulah Kinsey, Mac Hassell and Hesel Christian.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hassell of Kilgore; his children, Denise Henson (Brad) of Kilgore and Gary Hassell (Misty) of Longview; his grandchildren, Spencer, Shelby Henson, Hunter, Mason Hassell, Blayne, Austin Roach, Bre Pace, Kelsey Clayton, Lane, Daniel Gray, Kolton Norton, Remington, Erin Henderson and Georgia Fleck; his great grandchildren, Jaxson, Aubree, Brooklynn, Kaeson, Liam, Vivian, Karter and Rylen; his sister Debbie Oglesby (Jerry) of Kilgore; his uncle Herbert Jr. (Kinsey); and his pet Davy.
