He was predeceased by: his mother Ricarda Garcia; his grandparents, Juan and Eloisa Garcia; and his father-in-law Miguel Anaya. He is survived by: his wife Laura Chavez; his children, Juanita Chavez, Anna, Nick Morse, Daniel Chavez Ill and Ricardo Chavez; his grandchildren, Elijah, Eleyna and Alexander; his children, Brother Emilio and Laurel Garcia; his mother-in-law Juanita Anaya; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Anaya, Patricia Gallegos, Sylvia Rangel (Joe), Hilda Rivera and Miguel Anaya Ill. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, August 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home (1615 S Fort Hood St, Killeen, TX 76542). A burial was held on Sunday, August 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
