She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Edward Benjamin Sr., Georgia Lee Jones, Sampie Lee Todd, Alene Cato Todd Fulford and Kenneth R. "Kennie" Fulford Sr..
She is survived by: her parents, Sampie Linton and Georgia Lee Jones Todd; her husband Calvin Capers; her daughters, Marsha Waters, Renay Murray (Paulo), Crystal Waters and Carla Waters; her stepchildren, DeAndre, Emma, Jewel and Calvin Tavon Capers; her grandchildren, Kaila VerDuft Redding (Fletcher), Anya Dunning, Paola Murray, Cyle Smith, Allison Smith and Elias Capers; her siblings, Michael Todd (Holley), Gregory Todd (Darlene), Karen Todd Gray (Donnie), Randall Todd (Jay), Dianna Ndede and Shamika Monday; and the father of her children Carl Waters. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
