With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence E Smoot (Killeen, Texas), who passed away on May 29, 2025 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Lawrence's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Lawrence has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lawrence Smoot Sr. (Olga Ori Smoot) and Lawrence Eugene Smoot. He is survived by: his wife Barbara King Smoot; his sons, Levi Holden Taylor of Killeen, Trent Nolan Taylor of Copperas Cove and Jessie William Hicks of Augusta; and his brother Ernest Henry Smoot of Toledo. He is also survived by grandchild and numerous extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery (11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542).
