He is survived by: his children, William Vernon, Jr. (Becky), Katherine Barksdale (David) and Patricia Cummins (Gene); his grandchildren, William Vernon III, Sarah Vernon, Victoria Barksdale, Alexandra Barksdale, Cole Barksdale, Dawson Barksdale, Elijah Cummins and Isaac Cummins; and his siblings, Kathi Crump and Kenneth Vernon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends.
