He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy H. Jackson and Rita Bryant Jackson; and his sister Patsy Lee Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Woodward; his daughter Tracy (Craig Daniel); his grandchildren, Robin, Kaylyn, Kendall, Courtney and Cason; his son Bryant (Anya); his grandchildren, Sophia and Lev; his great grandchild Scott (Kelly); his grandchildren, Morgan and Owen; his brothers-in-law, Charles Woodward and Walter Woodward (Marie); and his children, Peter, Thom, Michael and Halley.

In lieu of flowers the family would be honored with memorials made in Jim's name to Tunnel to Towers, St. Jude Children's Hospital.
