He was predeceased by: his wife Margrit Koch Atchison; his sisters, Linda Speight and Dixie Bamburg; and his son David Wesley O'Rear. He is survived by: his daughters, Christina Frisbie (Randal) and Stephanie Roberts (Steven); and his granddaughter Ashley Smith.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at 23320 US-59, Kingwood, TX 77339.
