He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria Gloria Pena and Juan V Gomez; his aunt Theodora; his brothers, John Gomez Jr. and Augustine Gomez; and his grandson Adrian Tino Fuentes Guzman.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Gomez; his daughters, Savannah Winkler (Kyle) and Dora Fuentes; his stepchildren, Kyle Ramos (Marissa), Greg Guzman, Loretta Guzman and Peter Guzman; his siblings, Vicky Havens (Phil), Jimmy Pena (Irene), Joe Pena and Fidencio Pena (Laurie); and his godchildren, Dominic Limas and Serenity Stewart. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harrell Funeral Home - Kyle (1715 Kirby, Kyle, TX 78640). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Anthony Marie de Claret Catholic Church (801 Burleson St, Kyle, TX 78640). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Reedville Cemeterio De San Juan (1200 FM 1984, Maxwell, TX 78656). A reception will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Saint Anthony Marie de Claret Catholic Church (801 Burleson St, Kyle, TX 78640).
