She was predeceased by: her husband William; her mother June Geraldine Heier; and her sister Louise Heier Duncan. She is survived by: her children, Catheron Runkle, Marcella Walker Runkle Holt, Rebeccah Joan Runkle and William Marcellus Runkle Jr..
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Harrell Funeral Home - Kyle (1715 Kirby, Kyle, TX 78640). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:20 AM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78202).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in June's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
