Leo Elmer Schwartz Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leo Elmer Schwartz of Kyle, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 20, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Leo Elmer Schwartz to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Elmer and Lorene Schwartz (Johnson); his wife Nelda Lee Schwartz (Wagner); his sister Helen Anderson (Schwartz); and his brother-in-law Ralph McClendon.
He is survived by: his children, Dana Jo Lear (Bill), Dustin Leo Schwartz (Sheila) and Shelly Lee McCormick (Bob); his grandchildren, Lacey, Larissa, Brandon, Samantha and Leo; his great great grandchildren, Cami, Hailey, Melody, Aubrey, Luke, Callum, Caleb and Melanie; and his siblings, Laverne McClendon and Lloyd Schwartz (Shirley).
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Harrell Funeral Home - Kyle (1715 Kirby, Kyle, TX 78640). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (6800 Old Bee Caves Rd, Austin, TX 78735).
This quiet yet impactful contribution to the state's history will remain a part of Texas' legislative fabric for generations to come.
