She is survived by: her children, Estanislao Maldonado (Jessica Aguilar), Basilisia Maldonado (Adrian Lopez), Juan Maldonado Jr. (Kimberly Maldonado), Analaura Maldonado and Adan Maldonado; her grandchildren, Sofia, Ezekiel, Anthony, Nayeli, Katalina, Malakai and Isabella; her siblings, Frank Ayala, Eva Ayala and Ernestina Ayala; and the father of her children Juan Maldonado Sr..
Her intelligence and dedication were evident in her work, and she made a significant contribution to her field.
