He was predeceased by : his mother Brenda Lea Shears. He is survived by : his wife Elena Martinez; his mother-in-law Irma Garcia; his sisters-in-law, Laura Mata (Robert) and Elaine Flores (Merced); his nephews, Adrian, Ryan, Alex, Anthony, Timothy, Joshua and Dylan; and his niece Daisy.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harrell Funeral Home - Kyle (1715 Kirby, Kyle, TX 78640). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
