He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernarda Barco and Cruz Chavez Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Blanca Chavez; his daughters, Bianca Chavez and Samantha Chavez; and his siblings, Paula Rodriguez, Leticia Del Rio (Joe), Neal Chavez, John Chavez, Raymond Chavez, Tonie Chavez (Frankie) and Cruz Chavez Jr. (Tammie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
