He was predeceased by: his son Joshua T. Jaime; and his father Eleasar H. Jaime. He is survived by: his friend Rio Grande Valley; his mother Lily G. Jaime; his children, Joe Jr. (Deena), Sulema (Roy), Jacob and Miguel; his grandchildren, Joey, Kaylee (Nathan), Jacob Joshua (Gabriella), Jessayra (Julius), Jayren, Abigail (Brandon), Jordan, Emily and Jase; his great grandchildren, Genesis, Oliver, Olivia, Esme, Mila and Madden; and his siblings, Petra (Jose), Tony (Stella), Ben (Angie), Ram, Odie (David), Rosie (Ray), Edward (Sue), Blanca (Rick), Eleasar (Ruth), Linda and Arturo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
