With sadness, we share the passing of Alan Podraza in La Grange, Texas. Alan, born on December 10, 1958 in Houston, Texas, passed away on October 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his pet Sissy; his parents, Margaret Podraza and Harold Podraza; his uncle Raymond Harris; and his grandparents, Sylvester and Viola Yorek.
He is survived by: his daughter Brandi Henderson; his son-in-law Logan; his grandsons, Landon Shipley, Hailey, Jadon Shipley and Kelsie; his great grandchild Creed Shipley; his grandchildren, McKenzie, Tanner and Wyatt Henderson; his siblings, Gary Podraza (Carol Sue), Sharon Podraza, Brian Podraza (Kelly) and Kim Podraza; his godson Cody Podraza (Ashley); his great-nephew Jett Podraza; his niece Angelia Podraza; and his nephew Colton Podraza.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM and at 10:30 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Community (3600 Brinkman St, Houston, TX 77018). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Kovar Brethren Cemetery (139 Zimmerhanzel Rd, Flatonia, TX 78941).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Kovar Brethren Cemetery Association (A Texas Historic Cemetery).
