Danette Kay Coufal Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Danette Kay Coufal in La Grange, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gary Horne and Diana Chambers-Gensemer; her brother Jeff Chambers; her father-in-law Lee Coufal; and her brother-in-law Bernard Coufal.
She is survived by: her husband Ricky Coufal; her sons, Steven Coufal and Justin Coufal; her brother Michael Chambers (Barbara); her mother-in-law Eleanora Coufal; her sisters-in-law, Shelley Gonzalez (John) and Sandy Nunez (David); her granddaughter Chloe Coufal; and her friend Marie Seidel. She is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church (110 W Walnut St, La Grange, TX 78945). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grange City Cemetery S Lester (100-198 N College St, La Grange, TX 78945).
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Gardenia Janssen Animal Shelter in La Grange.
